Welcome to Twilight Village
A Gem in Michigan's Northern Lower Peninsula
We love living here and only ask that you treat our village kindly.
Jon and Pete are writing a graphic novel about our village. Jon has the
writing done (check out the manuscript using the links
to the right), and Pete is working his way through the
drawings. I'll post them on this site as they give them
to me (hurry up guys!).
Youtube Videos
Hey! We shot a video of Tin Singing behind the store and put it on YouTube.
You can see it here:

Here's another one. I obviously have to get better with the iMovie settings!

Here's a funny one of Doc's cat holding Edward down and licking him. Tin sang a song for it.

Edna heard from the Parmengast's that they are going to bring their fireworks
over to the waterfront for the 4th this year rather than setting them off
from their dock. Yay! Actual Fourth of July fireworks at the picnic. They'll
start at dusk with a beach fire to follow. The Picnic starts at the usual
time and it should be sunny so put on your cool hats and come on over.

Jeremy, Mike, and I went over to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival this
morning and saw the air show. Big crowd this year, and good air show!

Karma says since school is out in ONE
DAY from now (whooot!), she will be starting up tutoring services after
this weekend. Anyone interested in learning more math, English, science,
history, ecology, or Anishinabe over the summer should sign up with her.
Classes will be held at her cabin in the mornings from 8:30 to noon on
Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Also, you don’t have to be
a school kid to sign up. Karma says her best student last summer was
Doc who learned to speak some more Anishinabe (which many of you probably
noticed in church). Knock on her door, or tell Edna if you’d like
to sign up for a class.

Edna says she’ll have fresh strawberries in about one
more week!

Dunny says one of their favorite shovels bounced out of
the back of their truck leaving the village about a day ago and wonders
if anyone’s seen it. It is a long-handled flat-nose, heavy blade with
the usual rust on it. If you’ve seen it, tell Edna.

Mrs. Throckmorten is going over to Traverse City on June
7th for some shopping and wants to know if anyone needs anything or
would like to drive over there with her. Tell Edna or call Mrs. Throckmorten’s
cottage phone.

Mike is going to be at basketball camp for the week of June
20th and asks that everyone on his paper route just grab their paper at
the store. Edna is going to leave them in a stack near the door with a
sign that says “Mike’s customers” on it. Mike says he’s
sorry for the inconvenience but knows that everyone goes to the store about
once a day anyway.

Tin says he’ll be done putting docks in for the summer
people this weekend and will be available starting Monday to split wood
or whatever else you need done. Catch him around town or tell Edna if you
need him.

My dad says Jerry’s going to sell his Cavalier once
they’re done working on it, so if anyone needs a good car, stop by
the garage to have a look. They’re putting in a new water pump and
starter and put in fresh pads only a month ago. Body’s straight
and she runs like a tank.

Tin found one left flip-flop and one right flip-flop (that
don’t do together) while cleaning up the beach after the Memorial
Day picnic. He put them in the bucket on the porch at the store if you
happen to be missing one.
